Mine do very well here in San Diego, Calif. Every 7 or 8 years I have to dig them up to thin them out and start all over again. The last time I thinned them out I must have given away 50-60 clivia plants to my friends and neighbors.

Here my clivia plant bed a couple of years ago, in full bloom. This is in a shady area outside, next to my fireplace chimney.
