I planted one last year, it's showing lots of vigorous growth this spring.
For a rich blue- my top fav is 'lasurstern.'

I love the blue lobelia and fern with it.

I paired it with blue lobelia, verbena 'blue quarts' (fragrant), salvia 'victoria blue', and creeping jenny. I was going for a monochromatic color scheme. The nice thing is the flowers match the color of the lobelia when they first open, but then they fade to match the verbena.

You can kinda see the verbena poking out from the left side of this picture. And the large pale blue flower on the right is what they fade to.
