I bought C. fusca this spring and hopefully it will flower this year.

Will do peppa. Fusca is planted beside clematis ianthina which is sometimes called fusca var. violacea. It is similar to fusca but more purple-brown in color. Here it is last year.

The socialis especially although the little woolley/fuzzy fusca bud is so unusual.
The Ianthina is gorgeous, I have yet to see one close up and personal, how big are the flowers?
Is there something you can put near each flower as a reference to size?

How wonderful that you have buds getting ready to pop! I have some buds forming on Proteus now. I thought that was a bit early but I won't complain as long as we don't get a frost any time soon. All of my new plantings from last fall are putting up new shoots from the roots and seem to have all made it through winter.

Congrats on your buds forming Tracy. Both Proteus and Piilu have buds forming as do Blue Light, Petit Faucon, Juuli, and a couple of others. Betty Corning is swamping out Warsaw Nike and Romantika so can't wait to see her bloom this year.

Went garden hopping today but saw only the same old same old clematis at each place I went. The only two type IIIs I saw were Jackmanii and Jackmanii Superba, both of which I don't have but didn't buy them.

Thank you Miguel. I was just looking up the info on Juuli, Piilu, and a few of the others you mentioned. All are lovely! I think I may have to add Juuli onto my "have to have" list. I think this little infatuation I have with the clems is getting out of control.

I personally love the integrifolia and integrifolia hybrids and other clematis that seem to sprawl Tracy. Of them, Alionushka, Aromatica, Juuli, Arabella, Roguchi, Petit Faucon, Rose Colored Glasses, Hakuree, Olgae, Andante, Hanajima, Jan Fopma, Miranda, Hendryetta, and others are great ones. Just got Chinook and Gazelle this year and am sure I will love them as well. Infatuations quickly turn to obsessions in my opinion.

Oh just great! Now I have more to add to my wants and wishes list! It is really all your fault Miguel. I was so ignorant before I met you. I had never even heard of the integrifolias until I started reading all of your wonderful posts. Last year's infuences include me purchasing Roguchi amongst several other types that I was introduced to by you and Jeanne. Now I am going to clip this latest post so I can further feed my growing habit. You are an unabashed enabler! LOL!
