Moving clems problem

I have to move one clem to another spot because I have a climbing rose going in there. I need to "store" the clem though until its replanting time a couple weeks from now. How can I, or can I, keep it surviving in a pot until then? My rose is coming on May 7th or 8th.

I went ahead and replanted in another spot. I was afraid to leave it out of the ground. From everything I've read, you should get it right back in the new spot.

I dug up a well established Comptesse de Bouchaud and divided it 2 weeks ago. I replanted in different locations and mulched them well with compost and when I looked today it looks as if there are new leaves so I think I got away with it.
