First Frost

We had a mild frost on Mon morning. No damage to any of my plants that I could see. The brug foliage and buds are still in perfect condition. My car windows had frost and small pools of standing water were iced over but no frost on the lawn. I'm just glad that I'd already moved a few super tender plants into the greenhouse.

It's a good thing for me that the temps are supposed to be back into the 40's at night because I have to go to NY tomorrow morning and don't have the help to move anything else today. DH's grandmother passed away this morning. It was time already. She celebrated her 101st birthday last week and her health had been declining for the past few years. She had been in amazingly good shape, mentally and physically until her late 90's. I think she probably would have preferred dying a few years ago before the dementia started.
