My cirrhosa 'Freckles' started putting out buds couple of weeks ago and they're opening up now. It did the same thing last year, and then in fall (around October), it put out another flush. So far, it has never bloomed in winter or early spring, which is what I was hoping for based on various sources.

Does anyone have experience with this clematis? When do yours bloom, and how heavy is the flush? Mine hasn't had any big flushes yet.
