My clematis montana is blooming now. This is the first year that is has gotten large. I planted it 5 years ago at the bottom of a purple plum tree. We had a severe winter 06-07(temp. in the teen's) and about 2/3 of it died back. It grew very well last year and it is really putting on a show this spring. I can't wait till it reaches the top of the tree. I have a very inexpensive camera so the photo's don't really do it justice but you can get an idea.
