Plumbago and Black Walnut

Does anyone know if plumbago can survive the toxicity of the black walnut tree when planted within the 50 foot drip line? I have a plumbago I would like to plant. There is a spot under the black walnut tree, but after much searching, I have found nothing on line about plumbago, in relation to the black walnut tree. Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Oh, and I have checked (I have it bookmarked) the Ohio State U website on the sensitive plants to black walnut.

I have the perennial plumbago which is hardy to Zone 6 and spreads like a groundcover planted under my black walnut trees. It has even survived and overtaken some competing wintercreeper vine!! And it blooms all summer long with petite beautiful bloom blues. I planted three, if I remember right, as an experiment and it's been a successful one. Now covers 2 feet out all around a 24-inch diameter black walnut.
