I like mother natures combination best...Joe Pye Weed.

Ironweed, red or orange Helenium, red daylilies, a really tall yellow daylily called "Autumn Minaret," any of the taller native Liatris, verbena bonariensis, black hollyhocks, purple Thalictrum, and a Rudbeckia that I'm pretty sure is triloba but it's the tidy one with small yellow flowers on dark, wirey stems. I'll find you some photos later.

There is one called 'Fireworks' I am thinking of using with Panicum 'Dallas Blues' and Aster, 'Purple Dome'.

I have that combo, sage lover. "Fireworks" and "Purple Dome" look beautiful together. It's in a new bed I started last year, and it looks so pulled together already because of these plants.
