North Mississippi, zone 7: Both my evergreen clematis vines are not doing too well. I had a third, it died outright. I felt one of them might be getting too much sun, so I moved it back in the shade. It's look a little bit better, not all that much. Both vines are planted in fertile wood's dirt.

What can I do to make them thrive??! What's the problem. They are getting plenty of water.

Do they need fertilizer?
