Hi all.

I just bought my mother a patio clematis - Angelique. We were going to sit it on the front patio but unfortunately she lives near an apt where she's not sure if someone would actually come up and walk away with her plant. So we are looking for a home for it out back.

Does anyone know what group this clematis belongs to? Is it only for patio pots?

We were thinking of tucking it in it's pot between 2 Jack Mannii's that are growing up the side of the potting shed and then next year burying it in the ground. But we aren't sure if it grows on old wood.

Any advice is grateful.
