ID Needed

I lost the tag. This picture is from last year but already have buds this year. I need to move this also because of an aggressive weed in that flower bed. Not sure what I'm going to do. Thinking of putting it in a whiskey barrel planter because making that whole bed potted plants on top of rocks.

Any advice about moving this would be helpful. I think the only place I can put it is in a pot :(

Will clematis survive in planters such as this whiskey barrel planter (resin)? I need to move this clematis in addition to another one because of that "horsetail weed". We are changing the whole bed to rocks and then putting potted plants there making it easier for me for maintenance.

and would a wooden whiskey barrel be better? They are a little more expensive but was worried it wouldn't last as long.

Yep ...it is a jackmani clematis ...I couldn't remember the name but I'm pretty sure that is it.

I have changed my mind and didn't move any plants. I've decided to attack that weed one on one and if it gets too aggressive, I'll use cardboard and dig up the plants but hoping I don't have to do that next spring.

I added a picture of what the bed looks like now with the raised beds removed. I added pots with annuals.
