Roots growing from vine

I was pruning my Snow Queen and discovered two of its vines covered in soil. When I gently pulled them up, I discovered they had roots. I replanted each vine in a separate location in my garden. I am hoping for two new snow queen plants. Has anyone had this experience and know what I should expect?

Yes, that is known as propagation from layering. A vine is covered with soil in the hopes that roots will formed. The new plants will be identical to the parent.

Lucky you. I've been trying to layer a Duchess of Albany for a couple of years but not giving it enough attention as having no success.
