Don't kwow about its blooming ability, but Jackmanii and Barbara Jackman are two separate clematis. Jackmanii is a purple type III clematis whereas Barbara Jackman is a pink bicolor type II clematis.

I got a 4"pot of Roseville Barbara Jackman in early Spring 07 at HD and it had one flower in mid July. I had repotted it in a gallon pot & dug that in by the trellis. This year there are several stems, but they are still on the spindly side. Buds are starting to form. After this years blooms I am going to give it a drastic haircut & if the roots are strong enough, plant it in the ground, If not, it will have another year, this time in a 2 gallon pot in the ground.

loveflowers...Don't know where you live but I'm coming to shop at YOUR Lowes! I had asked the garden manager to call me when the clems came in at our Lowes. She called last night so I made a special trip there this morning and they are $15.97!. They have the exact same names they carried last year but the price is actually lower this year. (Yes, they were higher than $15.97 last year...LOL)

Barbara, the price depends on the size of pots. The $4.88 Clematis are in 4" pots. Our Lowe's has Clematis for $4.88 to $24.99 (for 2.3G pots).

Btw, I forgot to ask, can I plant it in the ground already? All my other clem's had been in bigger pots when I planted them in the ground.

They don't take of the ones here and if you back about a week later they will be on the clearance rack for about $2.50, lol.
