3 of my group 2's were done blooming so I pruned them down to about 12 inches. Not sure if that was enough for the first prune since I planted them last spring. My question is are leave axil there if you don't see them? If that makes sense. I noticed on some of the stems I did not see any. Are they going to start growing now that I have cut them back? I was a little nervous about pruning and wasn't sure how far to cut them back. I read that I should prune them down to about 6 inches for the first few years but that seem quite short so I went with 12". Should I prune them back farther? After I do this a few times I will get the hang of it. I hope.
