Duchess of Albany is pretty colorfast in my garden. Asao however is not. However it really depends on your latitude. The further north, the sun strikes at more of an angle thereby diluting the power of the sun. The further south you go, the more direct the path of the sun and the more the full effect you get.

Asao faded badly for me. I did not have it in full sun either.
