purple splothes on clematis leaves

I don't have any experience growing clematis. This Spring I planted Lonicera serotina Florida. When it arrived some of the leaves had purple blemishes. The stems are naturally purple. The new leaves look healthy- green on top; purple-tinged below. Some of the new leaves look as though they are starting to get the same purple blothes as older leaves. Some of the older leaves started to yellow and fall off. A photo can be seen here:

Can anyone please tell me what this is, and how to control or eradicate it?

You have a honeysuckle, not a clematis. There are some excellent gardeners here though and someone may be able to help.

OH, dear. Right you are!!! What a silly mistake. My mind must be on clematis. I'll move my question! Thanks very much for pointing out the error :-)

Looks like fungus to me. Personally, I don't spray, I remove affected leaves. If you do spray, remember that fungicides don't kill fungus. They protect new growth from getting it so the affected leaves must be removed, they will never recover.

Thanks, buyorsell888. I thought it might be fungus but I wasn't sure what kind. I will remove the affected leaves tomorrow.
