To the best of my knowledge, it's not available in the U.S. It's difficult to propogate, and expensive even in Europe as a result. Sad for both of us, since I covet her as well.

BorS, I still haven't found one as Michael said that it is not yet available. I know Dan at Brushwood has imported one and it is one that he is going to try and propagate. Time will tell!!!!

As far as the color goes, to me Mary Rose and PPE are similar in color shades in that both have gray in their color--Mary Rose being a greyish purple (a color my grandmother called puce-think that spelling is correct) and PPE being a greyish mauve color.

By the way, Mary Rose is also sometimes known as Flore Pleno if memory serves me correctly.

I bought Mary Rose many years ago mail order from a nursery that has since gone out of business. I can't remember the name of the nursery. It arrived in poor shape and never bloomed. Have never seen her for sale again!

Long years ago, I obtained 'Mary Rose' from Garden Import nursery here in Canada, I rather had liked the brighter color more so than 'Purpurea Plena Elegans', sadly I no longer have 'Mary Rose' and neither have ever agasin seen it available.
