I am almost positive I saw that one at Lowes. They sell quite a few Raymond Evison Clematis, and I think I saw each one of the patio series. I live in Wisconsin too.

It seems I am not meant to plant Versailles this year...

I bought it last fall at my local nursery. I planted it in a large pot this spring. It was full of buds and then it got wilt. About 90% of the plant is brown and all the flower buds wilted. I am not too happy. Why would they use clematis,that get wilt, in their breeding programs for new varieties? This was an expensive plant. I guess newer is not always better. I am hoping it will recover and redeem itself. I guess only time will tell.

I had the same problem with 'Versailles' as Flowerfan2 had. I bought mine at WalMart a month ago. The blooms were stunning, the color was absolutely amazing, I could not resist. Shortly after that most of stems wilted. I am going to repot it with fresh potting medium. Hope it will do better.
