Rootdigger, attached is a picture of the vitex tree seedling that I have just been cutting back for a while now. It has two leaders on it from my doing so but you could alway cut one of them out if you wanted a single stem tree. I am going to be cutting the parent plant down to the ground this winter as it has gotten unruly and out of control for the area it is in. I will either just let the plant come back and keep one main trunk on it or perhaps just take it out all together.

Let me know if you want the seedling. I may have more to come up in the spring but if you want this one, I can dig it up once it gets bitten back from the first frosts, pot it up and then hold on to it for you over the winter or you can hold onto it over the winter. Don't know how difficult it is going to be to extricate from its current location and will probably do better if it is container grown for a while to allow the roots to redevelop.
