Yep, Hagley Hybrid. Mine fades almost that badly in the shade. So pretty when they open though.

There are many colored like the back one but it could be The President. Sometimes hard to tell.

Jeanne, the lighter colored blooms belong to Hagley Hybrid, just a bit faded.

Beautiful! I really like the way you framed your garden with your mini trellis 'walls'. It looks like you developed a 'room'. How do you have them anchored in the ground?

I like the contrast of the faded with the new, it gives it more dimension. I didn't realize HH could be so stunning.

I am wondering if you have wire on your trellis as I have one with large spaces like that. In fact I started another thread a couple of days ago wondering what kind of wire I needed for mine to climb. It looks like your trellis with the Hagley Hybrid does not have wire.I would appreciate knowing what you have done.

Thank you! Neither of the trellis have wire, we just wrap them around the slats as they grow upward.

Haven't been to that part of WV. My parents graduated from Matewan years and years ago . . . still lots of family in that area . . . Mingo County . . . Delbarton, Varney, Red Jacket, Logan, etc.
