I have no idea about the double one, and I really have no business answering these ID questions because I'm a relative newbie; however, the single white one looks a lot like Miss Bateman to me. I think I'm familiar with her because she keeps catching my eye at nurseries -- I really admire her but haven't been able to find a place for her yet.

I think your right. I remember getting a Miss Bateman now that I heard that name. I waited till end of season clearances and got about a dozen or so clems for $1.00 or even free, because they looked dead on top. Most had excellent looking roots when I planted them, and most of these survived.

Lowes had them for that price. I just bought some lilly's from Lowes the other day clearanced to 69 cents each, and foilage looked very healthy, they were just done blooming. Walmart is the world's worst for marking down plants, so I like to stroll thru Lowes etc to where they put their clearanced items. I was grabbing lilly's as the guy was marking them down.Oh I also got a fan scarlet Lobelia, and a yellow primula and balloon flower marked down.

I've been seeing a lot of sales thru those places as well. Strange is right, normally you don't see them until end of season. Wonder what is up with that? A dollar? Wow, you would have thought they would have spent more in purchasing them wholesale?!

I overheard a salesman in Lowes Garden center saying something about calling and canceling an order, and that they had the hanging baskets on sale for half off to make some more room. I don't know, but my thinking is that the economy is so bad, plant sales have been hurt as well.
