Wow..that is a tuff one..especially since I just order Clematis "Prinsesse Alexandra" and can't comment on her performance but yet the pictures of her just drive me mad with anticipation for her in my Gardens..Two that are not only vigorous but floriferious for ME in MY gardens are "Empress" & "Josephine"...das well for me in my gardens!Do you like doubles?..or are you wanting single pruning group 3's? "Tentel" is a fav of mine..smaller blooms but such loverly wavy edges!"Killian Donahue" and I've heard great things about "Liberation" and am eagerly waiting on my delivery of "Morning Mist"...Jeanne

Piilu is my favorite that is closest to pink. It is pink and fuchsia striped.

My favorite is Ville de Lyon.

I like Comtesse de Bouchaud.

If you don't mind the tulip-shape, Princess Di would be my favorite pink--or maybe Etoile Rose. They are a darker "hot" or full-bodied pink and definitely do not fade in the sun.

Jeanne, the princess is really great. I bought it last year - 2 dead stems and a tiny sprout. There is another beauty by the same hybridizer, Ice Crystal, but it's not pink. It'll be better to start a new thread
