Stupid clem! I had it and it had one bloom the second year and then it promptly disappeared! With some you can't win. I keep a chart of all my clems in the garden (40 or so) and I have had some for 8 years and they are still only in the spindly stage! Not all of them are in ideal conditions, but not so terrible that they don;t thrive. I dug out 5 this spring, put them in one gallon pots and will baby them for a while and overwinter in the pots in the veggie garden. I gave them fertilizer and they seem to be growing. I can't even remember what kind they are any more, so will have to wait for them to flower. I have a Vyvan Pennell that never did right from the beginning. I finally moved her and put her just under a golden dogwood and although not thriving, her stem is brighter and she has two huge double flowers peeking from under the bush. If that is all she does, that's okay because she is not in a huge spot. But I expect those that I do give pride of place to perform within three years or they are history.

I had it in a shady spot for 2 years and it did nothing. I moved it to a sunnier area and it didn't do much for the next 2 years. Last year it bloomed beautifully. It bloomed heavily in the spring and then had a great rebloom. I had flowers from it from May to September. It was my best type 2 in terms of blooms. Only Polish spirit outbloomed it last year(type 3). I loved it. Hopefully it is just a slow starter and will start blooming for you soon. Give it some miracle grow fertilizer designed for blooms and see it that will get it going.
