I just answered you on the other thread. I saw at least fifteen Clematis at Lowe's tagged Miniseelik that were definitely Piilu. They were one gallons with the same tags as shown in the other thread.

I saw other plants mislabeled as well. The Hydrangea I went there to buy was also mislabeled. Mislabeling is very common at big box stores.

Thanks for your response. I was not sure anyone would notice the other forum and I was anxious to know before I went back to the store.
I think I'll pass since I only buy the group 3's now. Others have not done well in my zone.
I know we have to be careful in these big box stores. I was in another one a few weeks ago and they had many pots of Clematis and most of the tags were out of the pots. Yesterday I rechecked the store and the tags were stuck back in the pots.
Some folks will be in for a suprise when these clems. start blooming. LOL!

I bought Miniseelik (miniskirts) from Joy Creek in early spring. I left it in the pot a month or more (looking for a square foot of soil), it was full of roots and started getting tiny buds. It's blooming now. The blooms are about 1 1/2" - 2"! The coloring is a nice red, like M JC. I think as time goes, the blooms will get larger and the centers will pale. We'll see.

I planted Josephine about 7 years ago and the blooms were not over 3" for the first 3 years. Now the blooms are 5 -7"! These plants don't read their tags. Mickie
