Using a Metal Trellis - Should I??

I have a clematis who is very happy and needs a bigger trellis. I have a big black iron trellis I bought for a climbing rose that didn't make it over the winter. Can I use it for the clematis or will it get too hot in the sun? The clematis is Henryi
