fall trimming

I know that Fall is not the time for pruning most things, however with my house on the market, I am wanting to "shape" things up and reduce the size a little on some shrubs. Specifically loropetalum, crepe myrtle (needs thining out), purple smoke bush (has long whips from this season growth), cleyera (leggy end growth). Can I selectively trim now without causing harm to the plants?

Thanks for your advice.
