I need a clem to go with Cezanne

What clematis would look good with Cezanne? I would prefer one of the 3 foot ones. What do you have with her? I'd love to see your pictures.

Have been watching this thread for ideas. Mine is by itself (potted).

I think my best choice would be a dark violet (Victor Hugo) or purple for a "bitone" contrast. But I don't know if the short ones come in those colors?

Maybe try Fleuri. It is dark purple and gets 4' tall.

I have lots of established clematis so sometimes I take some of them for granted. Well just a couple of days ago I realized that "Cezanne" had still several nice flowers. And counting back I think this clem has been in bloom for about 6 weeks. It is an excellent compact clematis. Mine is permanently in the ground and climbs up a cedar.

If there were any still available I would get another to replace a less productive clem.

Is there anything comparable?
