is this a clematis?

i recently found this growing on a trellis in my backyard and i think it's a type of clematis, but i have no idea. it's beautiful and fragrant. could anyone identify it and perhaps give me a proper name for this? thanks a lot!

No, it is not a Clematis. It is some kind of Passiflora.

Definitely agree that is a passion flower. Just be careful because some can become a nusiance and you will have vines popping up where you least expect them and several yards away from where the original plant is. Been there and done that and used Roundup to eradicate all of them from my garden. Not all passion flower plants are that invasive though.
