It may take up to a month to see new growth. The roots will grow first to take in nutrients then new top growth

I purchased 5 bare root clems from Parkside sale. Vienetta had 2 growing points - white buds near the crown. It is growing like crazy, 4-5" nine days after planting. Other 2 did not have buds, just roots. One of them has new stem about 3" now, second one looks just like yours - dead stick. I guess we have to be patient...

I purchased 4 bareroot Viennettas from Parks/Wayside. Two have started growing and two are nada.

There are several bareroots that I have purchased from them, couldn't resist the price and the shipping.
All of them have started growing except for the two Viennettas and the two Princess Alexandra's (which have really weak roots)

Still optimistic. Last year, it took more than a month for Patricia Anne Fretwell to grow, which was planted late in July. This year, it gave me one bloom. :)

Well, I finally see a little bit of green peeking through the brown stick/stem on my Viennetta--yea! It's really a tiny little bit, though. I'm keeping it really moist and in bright shade. Should I move it so that it gets some morning sun? Also, should I feed/fertilize it this early on? I have Rosetone and Mills Magic Mix.

Congratulations!
I do think you should move her to morning sun spot. In ten days you will have nice little clemmy. As for fertilizing... There was a thread here recently, look for it.
My bare root Franzsiska Marie still looks dead :(
