I would say the first one is Clematis "Polish Spirit" and the second one is "Pink Fantasy"

The bottom one looks like Hagley Hybrid to me.

The top one does look like Polish Spirit to me based on the anthers but I am sure there are other clematis out there that have similar anthers so an absolute ID of it is going to difficult based on pictures alone.

When I first saw the second picture and before seeing Jeanne's post, I thought Hagley Hybrid also. If you look up the pictures of it and Pink Fantasy, I am hard pressed to say which of the two it is or if there aren't others out there that it could be.

Hey Jeanne, your past couple of posts where you linked to COTW (I assume that is where you are linking to) have not worked. If you go to COTW and do a search for a name, you need to right click the name on the list and copy and paste that into the URL link box. I think you must be going directly to the listing for the clematis and trying to copy and paste the page URL and that doesn' work. I keep getting sent to a webpage where it says OOPS can't find what you are looking for".

Jeanne's first link in this post worked fine for me.

I looked at both Pink Fantasy and Hagley Hybrid on COTW and thought the only way I'm going to tell for sure is to see it right up against Hagley or Pink Fantasy in real life.

Jeanne, don't know what is up. Now the first one is working for me and the second one is also! Strange. Could be that COTW was down when I clicked on it earlier, but there was another post where the same thing happened earlier this week.

Let me give it a try and copy the URL from the page on COTW.

Okay copying the URL did work this time. I give up! I know in the past it worked and then it stopped working and now it is working again. Gremlins on my end no doubt! I know they switched servers or something just recently. It is one of those computer thingies that we will never know about I guess!

I have Hagley Hybrid and Pink Fantasy but Pink Fantasy has never bloomed.

I bought it after seeing it in person at a local open garden. She had HH too and in person, here in cloudy Oregon, Pink Fantasy had a peachy color to it as it opened. HH mauve. Her plants are mature and they were covered with buds and blooms.

I wanted a Clem to go with a salmon colored mini climbing rose and not white and the Pink Fantasy looked perfect.

Now the dang thing hasn't bloomed.

It's definitely not peachy colored, and had a mauve cast to it, so I'm going with tentatively Hagley Hybrid until I have a way of confirming it.
The only climbing miniature rose I have is Jeanne Lajoie, and a white sport of it. Darn thing ate my bird feeder.

My own clematis are starting to bloom now too.

I have Jeanne and she is planted with Ville de Lyon who has been a real dog for me. I should rip it out and plant a new one.

Jeanne is a monster.
