I googled images of both of those and they are both beautiful. Do you mean that you have all three in a group? That would be very interesting. I will have to see if my local nursery has either of these.

Yes, I have all three within six feet of each other. They aren't all blooming yet though DD has been for a month.

I think that Arctic Queen will look good with almost anything except another fully double or a bi-pink. JMO

So my confusion is this - I thought that if I put two (or more) together, I would need to be sure that they are in the same pruning category. Is that right? If so, then my understanding is that both varieties buyorsell mentioned are in the same category as AQ (II). As long as I stay within that category, it should be fine.

I am having a little more difficulty figuring out which ones would be in bloom at the same time. I'm really a clematis novice and so am not sure how spread out the bloom times might be.

Yes, it is easier if they are the same pruning though there are many II's that can be pruned as III's in milder climates.

Bloom time is another story. For me, Daniel Deronda blooms before and after Arctic Queen and Twilight. Daniel Deronda is almost ten years old and established but they are both only two years old so that might make a difference. They get more pruning. Daniel Deronda is my longest blooming Clematis.
