I have Arabella and I love it. It does not grow very big, and it does not cling, it just crawls along the ground. It is a Group C, so needs a good pruning in spring. I cut mine down to about 4 inches. What I did this year was get a large branch with various side branches, stuck it in beside Arabella and it did grow up it, but with the winds and strong rains, it fell down. So next year I will have to tie it on. Mine was growing in shade, and now grows in full sun and is doing well, although the colour is more on the purple side and in the shade it is more blue.

Did it bloom well in the shade?
