Updated - Jackmanii on the porch

Here is another pic that I took tonight showing the Jackmanii now in it's full glory. All the blooms have opened and it is one fantastic show. It is pretty much solid blue from about 4 feet on up to the eaves.

I still see a few unopened blooms, but you get the idea. :>)

Why is your J blue? Or is it the deceptive coloring as the result of camera lighting? The only J's I've ever seen have been purple - very purple. If this is truly this blue - where do I get it????

You're right, it's actually more purple than what this pic shows. Not sure why this pic came out more blue than the other ones. If you look at the pics in the original thread, they are more indicative of my Jackmanii's true color.

Sometimes the wife/kids mess with the camera when I'm not looking. :>(

I planted this one late in the summer of '06. It grew about 6 feet tall last summer and hit about 10 feet or so this summer.

So beautiful! Now I'm glad I've got a Jackmanii instead of the Red Cardinal, the way it was labeled! It's amazing what a few years of patience can give back !
