Thank you Flowerfan2 for bringing up her picture to this page. (dang, I don't remember how I uploaded properly last time. )This little stunner has presence, deserves a place and name of her own. She has drooped over from the right where the lt. green leaves are to the dark green leaves that are not hers. Maybe if I dig into the surrounding soil with a tool I might find a lost name tag I'll check further -shes not in my clematis book.--dazi

She is very pretty indeed, I do hope somebody comes along with a name for her, she may be going on my wish list, I really like those blooms, she's lovely!

The first 2 pics on COTW are deeper pink than mine, but 3rd pic looks more like it.

I wonder if Josephine produces single flowers. Some double varieties will produce both single and double blooms. That's what it reminds me of.

My 'Josephine' has never bloomed like that. Always fully double like 'Multi-Blue'

My Josephine always looks like Buyorsell's. I've never seen a bloom like Jeanne's. That's really strange - I wonder whether it has anything to do with climate.

Marie...Clematis "Empress" is from Clematis "Josephine"..they do look alot alike..

My Josephine hasn't produced single flowers yet. Only semi-double and double. The website says it does bloom single flowers.

But the colors of flower posted are really similar to those of Josephine's

My Empress looks more like Jeanne's, sort of like pink Crystal Fountain.

Also in my yard at zone 7a, Josephine blooms almost at the same time as Crytal Fountain. Empress blooms more than a month or so later.
