I have been enables

During the last three weeks, I have spent a great deal of time on the Garden Web (I did not previously know it existed). I am recovering from knee surgery, and I happened to start reading the postings on this forum.

Somehow, reading about the closings of two apparently very highly esteemed mail order sources (Koi and Chalk Hill) I started looking at the websites. Of course, I had to order, so I ordered 12 from Chalk Hill!! they aren't here yet, of course, and today I ordered Josephine. I had to have her!! She is beautiful.

Thank you so much for having such an informative site and for being so willing to share you knowledge. Now I know why my Niobe had only a couple of blooms ...it needs hard pruning. The new plant from this year? It just needs time and care. There are new shoots coming up from the ground.

And the unknown variety with masses of large light purple blooms with yellow stamens) this year? The one that I had muttered about last year and the year before because it only a few blooms? This is the year for it to leap, and it has.

And me? I am well and truly hooked. thank you for the pictures, and the advice. I know I am going to love this new obsession.

Kay
