They will grow very slowly this year, just mulch around them if you haven't already to keep the soil from drying out and the roots cool and keep them watered.

The first year they'll mostly work on getting their roots developed so you won't see much from them above ground this year. Next year they should grow a bit more for you and the third year they'll really take off.

The saying is first year they sleep, second year they creep, third year they leap.

You should have planted them deeper than they were in the pots.

You should also have cut them back.

Do both if you didn't. Keep them well watered.

They are absolutely going to sit there for months and do nothing. That is completely normal.

I did plant them a couple inches deeper. I was just concerned because of no new growth. I am used to plants putting on new growth. Should I really cut them back? If so how much?
