Is anyone here growing NAUGHTY NICK? What do you think about this plant. Is it picky or will it actually grow without alot of pampering? How big does it get? What is the most you would pay for it? I know I have alot of questions but I really would like to know what other Brug lovers think about this particular one.
Thanks in advance, and Happy Gardening and Brugging Ya'll
I got a rooted one this summer. It was about 2 ft tall when I got it. It has been growing straight up into a tree form and it now pushing 5 ft! It hasn't bloomed yet although it has been well fed and pampered and gets plenty enough sun. Maybe it was a vigorous below the Y sucker. It is real healthy and easy to do for. Not too many pest prob even when I had some trouble with aphids, whitefly etc on some of the others. Will post photos when it blooms! Sure wish it would hurry up and Y! I also got Mon Amour de Maureil at the same time and it is slower growing than this one (about 4 ft now). ~SJN
My youngest son is named Nick and he is the daredevil of the family. I am always worried he will go out and break something skating, biking, etc...He can be naughty too at times lol but then can't they all! I prob would have bought the brug regardless of the name and also because of the name :D
That's a pretty one. F4F there's a rooted one on Ebay now for a BIN price. I recently bought some brugs from that seller. One went bad quickly and was replaced immediately. I'd buy from him again. I just bought a Madeline (from someone else) because that's my DD's name. Karyn
Thanks so much! I am now the proud owner of a Naughty Nick! I forgot I had set up an ebay account about 2 years ago and had to change my info but on the buy it now it went thru.
I got one from SS not that lond ago.. I was pretty big I cut it back a little.. They are slow to root unlike Mon Amour de Maureli it rooted fast...NOL is slow to root but hasn't dropped it's leaves... Chena
Kristy congrats on NN. I hope he sends you a nice plant. Chena the Mon Amour de Mauriel is one that I really want, in the spring! lol The second NOL 7S7 sent is really nice and had a good sized root ball. Karyn
PS: Kristy I cut back the peach ginger and will dig up a rhizome this coming week.
