Did you mean Clematis cirrhosa 'Freckles'? That's not going to be hardy for your friend if he is located in zone 5 like you :-(

As to the availability of organically grown vines, that could be tough. Most commercial growers, especially of ornamental (non-edible) plants, do not adhere 100% to organic practices - it is just too difficult to successfully wholesale/retail less than perfect plants, let alone grow them to a salable stage without chemicals.

I know it shouldnt be ok here but he has many, many large greenhouses. He had came and spoke at one of our garden club meetings and I had asked him if there were any plants that he was looking for, this one is at the top of his list. He is 100% organic and his garden center is certified organic. What I wanted to do was give him one of these "freckles" in appriciation. He is always very giving to others and I just wanted to return his kindness.
So if you have one and are willing to share I would gladly pay postage and any handeling charge or if you know of a organic garden center. Thanks

There are strict federal guidelines that nurseries who ship must adhere to. If the nursery is shipping out of state they may be required to treat the soil and spray the plant prior to shipping. So, even if it is grown organically, there is the possibility it would have to be treated with chemicals before shipping, you might want to check on that if you do find one that is "organically" grown.
