I bought this clematis a couple years ago under a generic name, and it was supposed to be red. It wasn't what I ordered, but is pretty, although the blooms are different this year from last year's flowers. Last year, the flower petals were very short, and all the things sticking up in the middle were very thick, and white. This year the petals are long, with a magenta stripe, and the things in the middle are smaller, sparser, and have a bit of purple on them. I have pictures of newer blooms, and older blooms, I will post both.
