Sick lemon tree

Hi

I live in the Alicante area of spain, and have had up to this year a healthy lemon tree. This year however it has developed yellow spots (which come off when scraped) on leaves and fruit. I have regularily used general insectacide, but is there anything else I can do.

Would appreciate any ideas.

You could post a picture or several; it is a big help in identifying "yellow spots". My best guess is you have some sort of citrus scale; and it is the direct result of using a broad spectrum insecticide when it is not needed, thereby killing all the beneficials which help to control scale. You can google "citrus scale" and find good information on identifying and controlling it.
