I have Gillian Blades which has wavy pale lavender edges. I like it but it is too new for me to tell you how well it grows and blooms.

I know Huldine is gorgeous and a big grower. I've seen a mature one locally.

I have Henryi which I don't recommend and Arctic Queen which is also too new to evaluate but I love the double blooms.

I have Huldine and love it but then my preferences run towards the type III clematis anyway. Don't know if Koi Gardens has it or not, but Jeanne has recommended John Huxtable, another white type III clematis, in the past.

Marie Boisselot -- had several years, occasional semi-double flowers. Does very well for me. Some 8 inch single flowers.

Huldine -- just 2 years but coming along nicely

Snow Queen has a pale pinkish cast for me

I have three "Snow Queens" and they have been absolutely wonderful!!..they bloom off and on all season for me..something I really love in that certain type of clematis...also, Miguel is correct..when everyone was raving about Clematis "Huldine"..Debbie said she thought clematis "John Huxtable" a much nicer clematis a wonderful pruning group 3 as well and I have enjoyed the heck out of that one...I have two Clematis "Huldines" and they are superb as well..they are a year younger than my "JH" so I want another year for full assessment but the one in more sun has outperformed the one in a pot in morning sun..I like Clematis "Henryi" but it blooms in flushes once in Spring and once in late summer/early fall and spits out a few here and there...not nearly as much as....I think that is why I adore the pruning group 3s, because of their vigor and floriferiousness (Is that a word..LOL)! ! I also have "Candida" which surprised me this year as I thought it had wilted..can't wait to see its performance in year 3....Jeanne

John Huxtable was not available form Koi Gardens. Checked it out and it seems like a really nice one. I ordered Rhapsody, Roguchi, Huldine and Marie Boisselot. I think I will try to get a few Snow Queens at Home Depot too. Next year I really want an Arctic Queen. I already have a new Duchess of Edinburgh. I've heard it can be a little finicky. We'll see how it does here. It's amazing how stuff grows here in WA. I'm originally from Northern CA and am blown away at how magically everything grows here. It is truly a gardener's paradise.

The plants sure love it though......

The grass is always greener BorS. We would take a rainy day in the garden any day to the drought conditions we are experiencing. Be thankful for the rain you do get!
