The trellis I have it on, broke, and I need to replace the trellis, so I need to cut the clematis back to the ground, so should I do it now, or wait until early spring? This clematis, forgive me I don't know the name or type, grows on old wood, so I've hesitated to cut it back before, and now its too heavy for the trellis, maybe I should just transplant it to an arbor? So, then transplant now or in the spring? Thanks for your help, Brenda
