As good as it gets..................

for me.

Well, this is the last Pink Perfektion blossom of the season. The other three were not too great- this one is the best and is still lacking, in my opinion. And also in my opinion, this is one for Northerners,.......... or Floridians, to grow in the winter months. But, the color is so good! Deep, intense pink, even now, with the cool temps. This flash photo shows the shape, but not the color, accurately. There is no orange in PP.

Okey, having mercy on those with dial-up but I'm tired of photobucket mis-behaving!

She still has good color for it being so cool!

    Hey there...

    What do you mean by:

    Pink Perfektion

this is one for Northerners,.......... or Floridians, to grow in the winter months

----those are two different zones? i am wondering, cause I am rooting a cutting and I have never grown this one before. I see you you live in N E Georgia--zone 7b. I live in zone 9--off the Texas coast.

Any helpful growing tips would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

That PP looks pretty good. Mine is a disaster and the color is light in the winter just like all my other pinks lol. Your Miz Scarlet is beautiful.

MJ..I think she just means that PP is better for cooler enviornments (growing in the North in general or during the cooler months in the south where people grow year around).

Not this plant's fault but of the the three blossoms that did bloom, none looked good. This is the last blossom, pictured, and the 'petals' never did widen out to normal dimensions. And then they flipped up at the ends! LOL! And the first two blossoms split their calyx and started emerging out the split side!! Looked real funny!

Mike, sorry the color on PP is not accurate, with the flash and it is not a clear photo. She is an intense pink, like no other! I dusted her with pollen last night- who knows????

Okey, I have posted PP, the seedling Miz Scarlett, Culebra, and now, Shooting Star. Can we say there is some Inca Sun in there somewhere? Sure looks like it!!! She even has blossoms on the main stalk- looks funny- and basically she does not bloom only on new growth, but anywhere. She has about 20 blossoms- I recommend this one as a keeper. Large explosions of flushes and the fragrance is one of the best!! She is a little more orange in November, inside.

I got her last Spring from Seed Sprout Nursery! She is a cheerful, perky, happy brug! Even with all her leaves gone!

WOW...I love them all. ha ha. I like how Pink Perfektion has such a nicely defined double skirt and such a deep beautiful pink.

AND...Shooting Star is so pretty. Does that one bloom fairly regular for you?

That picture you have of Miz Scarlett is breath taking. Beautiful photography!

Brenda they are pretty.......I cant wait for pink perfection spelling I cant spell this one LOL

Just beautiful Brenda! Love all of them. What is the "shredded" one that you posted? I got two cuttings of Shooting Star from ebay and they are now planted in soil. Come warmer weather, I will plant one in the ground and keep the other in a pot and see how they do. Mike, your PP is so beautiful! Kylie, you are good. I went back to read Brenda's post and I couldn't find where she listed Miz Scarlet!

Sorry, I cheated and just put different headings for the different brugs in one thread!!! So, look to the headings, El!!!

The funky looking, shredded one is Culebra. Not the way its supposed to look. Here is Culebra photo from June:

I'm really happy with Miz Scarlett and sure hope she holds the seedpod that I got from her crossing to Joli!! It is getting bigger and bigger. Also, lost all but one of my Shooting Star seedpods- the one left is crossed to Lucero!
