Has anyone used the method of blending dried sheet moss (or any other moss) with buttermilk to propagate moss, and have done successfully? I don't believe I'm doing it correctly or perhaps I am putting the mixture on the wrong surface for it to grow (I use a terra-cotta pot that has been soaked, I thought it would work because it quite porous), any suggestions? by the way I am in San Diego, CA, for those who don't know the climate, it is very hot, sunny and dry here so it's not the friendliest place for moss to grow, any other suggestions about how to grow moss in my climate?
