Hmmmm. Mousicus eatomous?

I can't find Anything on the web by that name? Any other ideas?

Squid fungus or "stinking squid"' Pseudocolus schellenbergiae. A kind of stinkhorn. Will eventually disintegrate into a greenish slime which attracts flies, which wade around in the stuff and transport spores to new sites. I see these and the other stinkhorns coming up in bark mulch sometimes.

these are called the columned stinkhorn, its aptly named because it smells really bad and it is poisonous. here is a little information on it.
