I am starting my backyard flock of chickens and will soon have (I hope) lots of good chicken poo composted with wood chips. Are there edible mushrooms I can grow in this? I'm not interested in anything super high maintenance and don't have a mushroom house. I'm willing to sterilize small quantities if necessary before innoculation, but I would prefer something I can just stick into a pile of rotting wood chips/chicken manure and be pleasantly surprised when shrooms pop up to eat. Any ideas?
