Dre's Dagger is in a genera of ferns that I have found spread rather slowly. They can be often kinda tricky to keep alive. With good moisture and good drainage they should do well for you.

I've had one for about 4-5 years now and it's well behaved here in my zone 5.

Thanks for your comments. I planted it in a pot for the time being. It's still small so I thought I'd wait until it gets bigger and I can see what it looks like before finding a spot for it in my yard. We have gravel "mulch" over landscaping cloth that should keep it contained.
