I have a few ferns that have outgrown their space and I'd like to transplant them. I am a newbie, inherited these plants with our new house, and don't know what kind they are. Is it too late in the season now? The fronds are about 10 inches out of the ground but they're still very skinny, not at all fully out. I'd rather not wait until fall, because they're blocking a lovely hydrangea. Thanks.
