I'd cut the fronds off and let them resprout new ones. There's no way you can ship them and have them look as good as new.

I wouldn't cut the fronds off, because the plant will need them to provide food once it is planted. I'd cut them back halfway and be sure to enclose the roots in wet medium inside a plastic bag while shipping.

I believe cutting off healthy frondS off of a fern is not such a good idea. Best to let they die off at the other end so the plant can reabsorb the nutrients.
